Nickel price to rise due to expanding electric vehicle market-The 20th China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

UBS analysts thought that nickel price was expected to go up this year as the expanding electric vehicle market will help in rising the demand for nickel.
UBS forecasted that the nickel market will encounter a supply shortage of 45,000 tons by 2022. Besides, the demand for nickel of electric vehicles will reach 660,000 tons by 2025, up by 60,000 tons compared to 2018.
Also, the average nickel price in the first quarter of this year was expected to be in a range of US$12,000-US$13,000/ton.
