Malaysian Pahang landowners seek to speed up approval for bauxite mining-The 21st China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

According to the report, the Malaysian Pahang state government was urged to get involved to speed up the approval from authorities for bauxite mining in Pahang, despite the suspension had been listed in March last year.
Now the bauxite mining in Pahang could not be operated due to the suspension. However, over 300 landowners complained about they would be not able to use the land for agriculture activities or other purposes while they had signed an agreement with mining operators and received deposit payment from them.
The bauxite mining and export activities would not still be proceeded unless the relevant authorities could enforce all the standard operating procedures for bauxite mining and exporting.
