Taiwan’s fastener exports hit record high in 2014 with the export volume up 9.31% year-on-year to 1.52 million tons and the value up 10.12% to USD 4.3 billion.
The top five consumers of Taiwanese fasteners in 2014 were UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan and US. Except for Japan, all the other four countries showed growth. Exports of fasteners from Taiwan to UK, Germany and US demonstrated growths of 23.98%, 11.29% and 9.31%, respectively.
The recovery of America’s economy and the EU markets were the main contributions to the growth of Taiwan’s fastener exports.
